Lets have an active discussion about the scene with Molly and her assistant during this weeks episode on #InsecureHBO
While some are calling this empowerment to see Molly in a professional role, others (like myself) see this too, but, with a hint of disturbance

And theres why: A THREAD
When we are in power roles (women) we use our roles as a superiority complex...

So lets have this conversation...
Yes...the comment "If you look bad I look bad" is a true fact in the professional setting, we need to do a better job on how we treat each other in the work environment
There is a way to deliver direct and affirmative communication while still being stern, professional, and poised. Being condescending and matter-of-factly never worked.
Lets talk about the assistant...

Was her work performance unsatisfactory? Yes? There is no reason why she should have forgotten about a meeting and should've offer another means of handling a meeting knowing that your boss was going out of town.

Organize yourself accordingly
Molly, knowing that she was going on vacation should've had a briefing with the other attorneys to come up with a strategy so that all the meetings and briefings would have been completed! Period

Corporate Workforce Dynamics...

And the real tea is...
"A leader is as good as the people following them"

So that outburst was an reflection of the work she was putting out in the previous episodes...

Especially when she was called out by the other attorney...
Collective:
Please be advised, when you are applying for employment and have an interview ask these questions:

1. How are you as a leader?
2. What is your management style?
3. How do you work under pressure?
4. What are the best forms of communication to your staff members?
I feel so strongly about this because I dealt with this working in the financial sector with my Manager that treated the employees as Molly did her assistant.

Since then, I've learned that lesson to never treat my employees lesser than
Please know that no matter the title and money you make.

You are still a human being just like the people you supervise/manage/consult etc

Work should be a learning environment of growth and opportunity, NOT A WARZONE
For the record:

Sis was scared to 'bother' Molly to contact her about a meeting...

What does that show...

You should have an open, personable communicative relationship with your higher up

You don't have to be buddy buddy but the level of respect should be on a equal ground
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk...

Again this is my interpretation and reaction with adding anecdotal information and context...
