everything is behind a veneer of wanting to make minneapolis more attractive to people who have enough money to survive in a culture void of chain restaurants, boutiques, and apartments that look like Christian Bale's in American Psycho
anything that seems progressive that frey seems to get done (banning plastic bags, e.g.) is an empty gesture that just gets minneapolis a spot on one of those "top 10 underrated metro areas" listicles while we continue to pump money into the murder machine that is the MPD
