ruminating over my years in the roleplay community where lady OC’s were treated so viciously i just didn’t have any. the worst part is i still see residue of that behavior. the RPC has definitely improved in some spaces, but there are still so many that just... hate women.

every female oc is a ‘mary sue’ unless she hits a bullet point list of ‘acceptable qualities.’ so many ridiculous qualifiers that make her an ‘realistic’ character that i guarantee no male oc has been held to lol

anyways if you only write dudes because women ‘aren’t interesting’ to you, that’s something you should put some more thought into. lord knows i had to.

final point is please always share your wonderful lady oc’s with me. they are not guilty pleasures, or whatever other misogynistic nonsense you’ve been convinced of. they’re as rich and complicated and worthy of love as any oc
