One COVID related societal thing I’ve noticed is how much people LOVE being able to tell others what to do. Like this is the first time they’ve had power in their lives and they’re just LIVING for it.
Leaving the gym, an elderly lady went out the entrance line. Both were empty. You could see for a fucking mile in either direction. No one was coming. But this dumbass made her stop midway, turn around, and go the way he directed her to go out. No way this shit ever stops.
We live in a society where every person is entitled as fuck to insist that every one else act by the arbitrary rules they’ve set. Don’t like how someone is acting? Start a fight and film it for the Internet! We’ll all look at your age/race/gender/sexuality and decide from there.
MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS. DO WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I recognize totally that sometimes confrontation can’t be avoided, but that’s exactly why you shouldn’t create one where it can be. We all have enough fucking shit to wade through.
When I was a kid, if my siblings or I would tattle, my dad would respond, “You need to worry about what you’re doing & not policing everyone else,” & refuse to get onto the transgressing sibling in front of us (if it was mild, obviously) so we weren’t rewarded for being assholes.
It used to make me so mad as an 8 year old but as an adult, of course I see the utility in it.

When you fucking tattle over nonsense, YOU’RE BEING AN 8 YEAR OLD! Grow the fuck up! WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN SHIT.
