Saturday. Brother & FSIL officially postponed the wedding, planning something small for just family.

Cool, I think, they’re making a solid rational decision about this that will help protect people.

Today. My mom texts me “hey if you’re free call me.” Which of course I’m like “oh God who died?!” So I call.

Mom: do you know what your brother & FSIL are planning for the wedding?
Me: I know it’s postponed & they’re planning something small just for family.

Mom: they want everyone to go to Vegas with them.
Me: are they fucking stupid?
Mom: apparently the people who won’t let their child around anyone but them during a pandemic are ok with going to Vegas to get married.
Me: what fucking idiots

So apparently I’m supposed to go to Vegas for this quickie wedding & just be ok with flying & staying in a hotel DURING A PANDEMIC. I can fucking not with this whole thing.

I’d like to note in this thread I very rarely drop F bombs in conversation with my mom, just a respect thing, she doesn’t to me, I don’t to her.
