Allergen exposure can happen! but it can be managed.
Careful reading of ingredient lists on food packages is part of managing that risk. But you can't manage that risk if the list silently leaves off ingredients that can kill. We need truth in labels.

Labels with silent substitutions is like if one in every few thousand cereal boxes silently substituted sugar with broken glass and waited to see if someone notices.
