Spoilers for the whole of the Wheel of Time

Apologies to all of #TwitterofTime if this is an idea that's already been expressed, but I just can't stop thinking about Egwene and her relationship with cuendillar 1/10
Cuendillar is an indestructible substance from the Age of Legends that even ignores balefire; the art of making cuendillar was lost to history until Egwene comes along. She even has an uncommon strength in weaving Earth 2/10
Egwene, upon becoming the Amyrlin Seat, is declared the Watcher of the Seals. The seals to the Dark One's prison are made of cuendillar, and we see their strength decay through the series as the Dark One strengthens his hold on the world 3/10
So, Egwene rediscovers how to create cuendillar and then is put in charge of the most important pieces of cuendillar in the world. During this time, she is proving her strength and resilience of character, surviving beatings and battles of will--growing stronger throughout 4/10
Egwene wrestles with the damage balefire does to the Pattern. She is in awe of it, afraid even, for how much it takes away. However, that fateful meeting with Perrin in Tel'aran'rhoid reminds her that "balefire is just a weave" 5/10
At the Last Battle, her warder and love Gawyn dies. This breaks her. She strides out on the battlefield full to the brim with the power, set on taking out Taim (who has been using boatloads of balefire and thereby causing cracks in reality) 6/10
In her pain and anguish, she remembers again what Perrin said, and creates the Flame of Tar Valon, an anti-weave to balefire. She gives her life to fix the cracks in reality 7/10
She, the woman who the Wheel chose as the best Amyrlin seat for the Last Battle, the woman who should not have broken, breaks. But in doing so, she challenges balefire and paves way for the Light through her pain. 8/10
In the same way, the cuendillar seals of the Dark One's prison are broken and release him in order for Rand to make the world new and right 9/10
Cuendillar and Egwene, the woman tied to it, both strong and unyielding and sharing a connection to balefire, break and make the world better in their breaking 10/10
