white supremacy is systemic & pervasive & sits in the core of the country, now & chronically. until we reeducate how we (whites) learn, the tropes of dehumanization will continue to replicate, producing the kind of irrational fear & indefensible actions we witness regularly

segregation is intended to keep whites from communities of POCs in order to allow us to continue the jokes & policies that only benefit white communities. That is the intention of capitalism and why critiques of capitalism must also contain critical race & womanist theories

whites are mis-educated to maintain the faux-threat of fear & insecurity. That fear builds borders & police states & NRA armed citizen patrols. The fear builds prison & military industrial complexes & gated communities and countries.

white people are scared of... the fear we perpetuate & the havoc we wreak returning upon us. we are scared of history so we re-write it, whiten it, & paint ourselves the heroes and saviors, literally- Jesus, an African jew & appears aryan in homes across the planet

part of the reason this moment is so powerful and why the ugly truths of whiteness are on display for whites to see, to not turn from, is because the tools of story telling are more and more democratized on an instant and global level

so salutes to the reporters, the poets, the cinematographers who capture & force us to watch our own ugliness. we must wrestle with ourselves, our past(s) and presents in order to change the course for the country and ourselves and the world
