One of my personal goals is to help the PNW indie scene reach the prominence that the other scenes have. I heard far too long that we need to move away from here in order to succeed. When I left in Fall 2018, almost everyone told me they only knew about Defy out here.
Defy is great and all, but that didn't sit well with me. There were so many other promotions making noise, yet no one heard any of em. Upon coming back, I made it a goal to change that. I want the entire scene to be spotlighted. I want it to be a place where people look
and go "yeah I'd like to work a loop in the PNW" or "I'm trying to hit up shows X, Y, and Z." One promotion alone can not make a difference, and with perhaps the strongest 7 promotions in the PNW now on IWTV, the goal I set out to achieve is more possible than ever.
WAC, Prestige, 5CC, DOA, POW, and ECCW have all thrown their hats into the IWTV mix as well, and each one brings their own flavor to the mix. This isn't an attack, rather a call to arms for all 7 of these promotions. With the platform locked down, there is now a wider range
of opportunities for a wider range of talent here. It's time to put the elitism to rest. We need to unify as one scene, and see to it that every one of these promotions succeed. We are the Pacific Northwest scene, and whether you like it or not, we need to band together
to make this happen. I know it won't happen overnight, and given everything happening right now, it probably won't for a while. The differences need to be put aside, from management down to the fans. A rising tide lifts all boats, so when we can, let's lift these boats TOGETHER.
