My graduate exercise is about comfort women in Malaya(sia). While looking at this, there's also the issue of the death railway incident, again not mentioned by OP.
What the Japanese did was cruel. Till this day, no victims received any apologies or compensated properly.

Anyway, I love Japan alot. But as someone who graduated from history, we should never forget despicable acts committed by the Japanese army, or brush it off as some sort of West propaganda.
