I had a company come into my stream once while I was live and offer me sponsored product. I said we could talk, they said they'd email me, so they did, offering to send me free product if I would promote it on stream and socials.

When I said I wasn't comfortable doing so without first trying the product, they said they couldn't just send something to me without "promise if promotion."

I told them I wasn't comfortable promoting a product I wouldn't use or couldn't vouch for to my community.

At which point I was sent this reply:

I corrected them, stating I've never once streamed Call of Duty, and once again, have no interest in promoting a brand or product I'm not sure I would use, nor am I interested in working with a brand that doesn't take the time to recognize mine.

They never replied.

tl;dr you have every right to not work with a company until you've vetted their product.

Every sponsorship/partnership will not be viable for you, and if the company looking to work with you doesn't take time to look into what you do, it's wasting your time.

Know your worth.
