There has to be a disconnect within the writer’s room... because there is no way you can say “the audience is being too hard on her and she wasn’t written to be perceived in the manner we are taking her in....“ and then write a scene like this:
Characters are supposed to have layers and depth, and go against the grain and have bad days and yadda yadda yadda etc... But that didn’t make any sense to me personally. With that scene, you wrote her exactly how the audience was perceiving her and doubled down in it.
So for me, personally... the article from the SHOWRUNNER reminded me a lot of Courtney Kemp and her over-explanation of Power. I don’t think it’s to the same extent... but It just isn’t necessary.
Didnt mean to capitalize showrunner like that (blame autocorrect) but in the middle of my rant I got a phone call and now I don’t even remember why I was ranting. Still... let me stand firm in it 😂😂😂
