Every man I know, regardless of his skin color, has dealt with an #AmyCooper type person.

Some women use the cops as a weapon.

The consequences for a white man are serious — arrest, jail, losing his job. The consequences for a Black man in America could be murder by cop.

White upper-class women, through their proximity to white patriarchy, can bring the full and terrible force of the state down on a man’s head with a phone call.

Amy Cooper did, she made SURE to say he’s Black. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing.

The law is supposed to be (and sometimes is) a great equalizer.

But a Black woman can’t just pick up the phone and call 911 even when she’s in danger. That equalizer is not available to her in the same way — she has to calculate the real risks of getting murdered by the police.

I know I’m going to get angry replies to this thread. The proximity of white upper-class women to white patriarchy is a touchy subject for some of y’all.

I grew up poor. I lived on the streets. I’ve seen things. Before replying, think about how your perspective might differ.
