2 years ago I left EHU, without a job lined up and no intention of applying for one. I remember it being so difficult seeing everyone else getting jobs and the pressure from friends and family was awful. Spoke to @SianEHU and finally found some perspective. A thread -
You have to do what’s right for you! I took control and did what I knew was right for me. I wasn’t ready. I gained so much experience from supply. I got put forward for a long term supply position after 7 months. After an interview, I got the job.
I was then encouraged to apply for a job at the school for the next academic year. I applied, did the interview and got a temporary job. Now, over a year on I’ve completed my NQT year and I’ve got a permanent job at the school.
I suppose the message is not to worry. Things will fit into place when the time is right. I learned so much from @EHU_FOE - I’ve them to thank for the knowledge, opportunities and growing confidence I now have. Be kind. Be patient. Be you! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💜" title="Purple heart" aria-label="Emoji: Purple heart">
