I watched every *tape* recording my parents had from my childhood

‘99 - ‘09ish

Here’s what I learned about myself.
1. I’ve always expressed my love through words. It was constant “I love you mucho mucho MUCHOs” among many other verbal declarations of love. Many of these directed at my mom :’)
2. I was ALWAYS in my own little world. My mom has always said this about me, but the videos really showed it firsthand. I went the beat of my own drum, and would often make up songs and stories to tell :)
3. My momma had every right to be mad 😂 I was a total fucking whiner. Always had a sensitive soul, y’know?
I always loved to sing and dance & was ALWAYS encouraged to by literally every person in my family. In almost every video, it’s me performing in the Livingroom for my family or in some sort of recital space.

They applauded and encouraged me every single time.
In any video where a relative asks what I want to be when I’m older, I would always list 3 very different occupations. They would tell me to pick one.

“I’ll be all of them”, I would say.

Nothing has changed. I’ve always wanted to do it all.
I’ve really learned that the core of who I am has never really changed - even since I was 3 years old.
I will be adding to this thread if I have any more realizations about my childhood self ✌🏼
