Thread on Dr Crane. A Transgender surgeon. Will post youtube at the end. It was temporarily made private and comments removed. You’ll se why. My thread is from the original transcript so the video *may* have been edited since then then.
We are talking serious medical procedures here, yet the tone of the interview bears commentary. It’s jocular, self-aggrandising and with disturbing overtones of “CreatorComplex”. It’s neo-surgery & as such there’s an opportunity to perform “world first” procedures. Ego Trip?
And when I say new I mean really cutting edge. Here he boasts about his “mosaic” surgeries. This is allowed in the U.S. Certainly the U.K. allows hormones without surgery but the procedures below are not (yet?) here in the U.K. Non-binary surgeries. 👇
You will be pleased to know Dr Crane does have a line. Here he considers creating a (Mermaids?) tail for a patient. Cue more laughter. In the end he declines due to danger of “nerve innervatjon” .
Yep. Dr Crane that would be my primary concern.
The language used, by this surgeon, is a reminder of articles on #TransHumanism (see @bjportraits ) . Here he talks of creating cyborg like super humans.
The interviewer is clearly a drinking buddy so the questions are soft-pedalled. Here he asks about the ethics of some of these mix and match surgeries 👇
This is a part of his answer. His belief system is to “ignore social and cultural norms”. That’s his belief system. Sound familiar? Something tells me Dr Crane is a proponent of Queer Theory. Why would someone put a negative spin on the Good Doctors work? So old-fashioned!
Two common themes here. It’s ideological in its origin. He is crystal clear he seems himself as “fulfilling an agenda”. Yet, despite making a (good?) living about of medical procedures he is clear to tow the party line. With or without surgery TWAW/TMAM. Gender ID trumps sex.
Another striking anecdote is his visit to a bar with the interviewer. Many a chuckle is had about this incident 👇. The surgeon gets out his phone to share photos of his patients “neo-genitals”. The “poor waitress” indeed.
Dr Crane responds to this with a revealing explanation. To *you* these may be simply genitalia. To me? “These are my children”. And again the inference that he is part of engineering a “cultural shift”. Also, to the bouncer: “you should get in on it”. The language of commerce.
He’s interesting about co-morbidities of mental health issues because this raises other ethical considerations. He’s flip response to this is any correlation is simply because we are all “bigots”. This & “bodily autonomy” and “informed consent” allow these practices to flourish.
These are the comments that appeared beneath the original youtube broadcast. You may recognise one of these names & I will add @NewgentTGA’s experience at the end. We are talking about real people here. Not “cyborgs”.
Here’s Scott talking about their experience. It’s a gruelling listen and a very brave & eloquent piece.
Here’s the youtube which is well worth a watch. The tone of the discussion illustrates what Scott refers to as the “wild west” elements of this sector.
Here’s the audio & transcript. I have not rechecked to see if it was edited. My clips were taken as soon as the youtube was made private. Below from his own channel. Celebrating a double mastectomy on a 14 yr old. Comment from a viewer below.👇

I have had this for a while but felt hesitant about using it since getting to know former patients. I was encouraged, by Scott to do this so you all know what’s happening. Thanks to @NewgentTGA for plugging away about protecting our kids (& adults) from dangerous medicalisation.
