Here we go.... this is going to be a long thread so stay tuned. #MyFFLStory
I first started to get into politics in 2011. I was 14 at the time and was surrounded by many friends who were diehard liberals. I couldn’t understand why anyone would vote for Romney, including my own parents.
Fast forward to 2016. I am 19 now. Trump was the Republican front runner. I was a die-hard Bernie Sanders supporter. I was also as feminist and as angry of a social justice warrior as you could imagine. I hated guns more than anything. I was minoring in sociology.
My mentor at the time was a Native American-Jewish socialist/anarchist (as she called herself) who was an adjunct professor at the time. My favorite class was one she taught: Racial and Ethic Diversity. It was a class about racial disenfranchisement... and hating conservatives
We were taught in this class that pretty much anyone who disagreed with our ideology was a “racist sexist xenophobic person who lived in an ethnocentric world” and that our “job” was to educate them on their bigotry.
