Please don’t put me on the “who to follow” lists. I have more followers than I can meaningfully engage with, the Algorithm(tm) spams people’s timelines with my tweets anyway, and most importantly, there are so many people whose work deserves your attention more than my shitposts.

My selfish reason is that these lists generate a ton of notifications which obscure notifications for the threads I actually participate in. So it’s a constant source of noise. These lists are also usually the same five people which makes them both boring and depressing.
