Mayor Bowser says DC is at 13 days of sustained decline as of today. We need to see 14 days to begin Phase 1 of reopening.
The District is also adding two testing sites, opening June 1. One is at 2241 Martin Luther King Jr Ave. SE, the other at 5th St NW between F and G Streets NW
Barring any spikes in cases, DC should being Phase 1 of reopening this Friday. The Mayor will have more updates tomorrow.
DC BIDs are working to provide "care packages" for businesses reopening during Phase One, which will include things like hand sanitizer, masks, and cleaning solutions
MPD Police Chief Peter Newsham says there's been about 5 citations in the District for social distancing related violations. He says police will only issue citations/make arrests if large groups refuse to disperse.
When asked whether she'd like to see the police taking a more aggressive approach to enforcing the stay at home order, Bowser said: "I'll leave the policing to the police."

Regarding the "new peak" of cases on Saturday, Mayor Bowser said she doesn't want to "boil it down," but that essentially it's okay to have a one-day bump in cases if the overall trend is still downward.
