EARNEST ALERT: Things to do to make you feel better that kinda annoyingly... just work—

- Take breaks from work with tiny, screen-free chores like unloading the dishwasher, brushing out pets, watering plants
- Get out of bed as soon as your 1st alarm goes off
- So! Much! Water!
- Grow something (one low-maintenance/high-reward option I love is mint)
- Send a postcard to a friend without warning
- Spend $5 at the grocer on fresh flowers (or pick some from your yard. Pretty weeds count)
- Pet an animal
- Lunchtime walks
- Watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee and no phone
- Making dinner for a friend
- Finally read the book a loved one lent to you
- Setting short alarms for potentially harmful/exhausting indulgences (like scrolling Twitter). Actually stop when they go off
- Wash your sheets
- Light an expensive candle
- Moisturize
- Audrey reminded me of another good one: set up your coffee pot to auto-brew the night before (assuming you& #39;re my-level of addicted. If you& #39;re not and enjoy the ritual of pour over or French press, stick with that! And know I& #39;m jealous of you)
