Since we are talking about vintage cars & restoration projects today, let's talk about some examples in Nigeria and how some of them will easily fetch as much as $40,000 - $70,000 (N15m - N30m)

I'll also tell you how you can get them, restore & sell high

Starting with the most popular vintage car in modern Nigeria. The 1980s BMW E30 M3 - "Elder M"

Found in Ikeja by a Motorsport lover &properly restored with original BMW E30 parts

It will fetch between $45k &60k if exported to Europe before sale, we don't know the value here
Should I tell the story of how the owner tracked it for more than 13+ years, got it with spare parts, painted it, got offered $30k immediately he drove it out on the street? Drove to Ghana and back?
I'll tell it if this thread gets 100 Rts

You know what! f**k it, here's the story.

But make sure you retweet okay?
You know the popular and legendary beetle.

First frame shows the state before restoration. Parts were 90% original from EBay and other US websites.

The owner spent well over N1m+ in parts and let it go for N4m. Good bargain after all the stress if you ask me

@akunnachux
He also has some other unfinished projects like the Nissan Laurel C230, one of the rarest Laurels ever made & and only built in 1978 & 79.

The Peugeot 404, a Toyota FJ as well as a Mercedes Benz 240 W115
About this 1980 Porsche 911 Supercarrera

The owner contacted me sometime in 2016 or 17? ( I don't remember 😀).

It had a gear problem but he still managed to sell for $10k and that's because he was desperate. He could have gotten more if he wasn't

Moving on, this is a 1975 Dodge Charger.

It sold for about N3m a few years ago I think even without the original engine, had a Nissan engine. The charger is one of the most iconic muscle cars from the 1970s alongside the Ford Mustang , the Camaro and the Dodge Challenger etc
We also have the 1960s Mercedes Benz 230SL W113, the successor to the ultra popular 300SL Gullwing and roadster from the 50s

This was sold a long time ago
Here's another special BMW, owned by the same person who owns the white E30 M3

An E34 M5 Touring, 1 of 1 in Africa, with only 891 made worldwide. An ultimate collectors item. There's also another interesting story to how he got it below

A car enthusiast will go any length to get his favorite car
This guy was manufactured in the 1930s before the 2nd World War. Can you guess the name?

I have more cars I'd like to add to this thread but I have to go now, if I get some motivation, I'll continue later.
