I’m thinking that after LWY sorta accepts JXC (no.13) JXC is sincerely baffled. “but why? what did I do differently? WHY DID HE SAY YES??”

he becomes convinced it’s the lotus... +

+ so he tells LWY, “come to Yunmeng! I’ll pick you MORE lotuses! :DDD”

and it’s not like LWY hasn’t been to Yunmeng before, but he doesn’t just run there on a whim. there have to be arrangements, invitations... he says no

but JXC is like “well he gave me permission... sorta” +

+ and so he taps into his usual gremlin habits and yanks LWY’s ribbon off (it is indeed within easier reach) and FLIES OFF HOME...

poor LWY can’t ignore this (and this gives him a valid excuse) and ends up chasing JXC. all the way to Yunmeng. completely appalled (as per usual) +

+ and this purple gremlin is just cackling and as soon as he sees his disciples he’s yelling “HE SAID YES!!”

“really?? he said yes?!”
“what did you do sect leader?!”
“I DON’T KNOW! :DDD”
“congratulations sect leader!!”

and they continue the chase with JXC basically announcing +

+ to the whole of Yunmeng that they’re getting married... as if this wasn’t already known!

eventually they tire, and JXC starts... stripping off! he turns to his Tomato Jade and says “well how else am I supposed to get you more lotuses? come on! tell me which ones you want! +

+ you can have any of them! all of them!”

LWY is completely speechless. he’s still holding onto the lotus he was given. he only needs this one.

but JXC is adamant and beckons him over “you can’t leave Yunmeng without going swimming! come on!” and then he pouts “please? ” +

+ I’m not gonna go spicy with this, but I will say that even though this isn’t LWY’s first time in Yunmeng

they definitely have THEIR first time... in Yunmeng
