I made a podcast app. It’s about episodes, not shows. Self-googling episodes. Bookmarking. Mixing with your own music. Take a look in this thread, and here
http://mortenjust.com/2020/05/20/another-way-to-listen/
First, subscriptions. We’re at 1M podcasts, too many good shows to keep up. So why even try? Maybe it could be more like a river.
Instead of subscribing to shows, you can subscribe to topics. Like fonts, garden furniture, or, like here, a joe-rogan-moving-to-spotify-for-100-million channel
Zero-tap googling with live captions
-> Live transcription
-> Extract names in the spoken words
-> Look up in Wikipedia
-> Hijack Now Playing on the lock screen and scroll the wikipedia summary
You can mix in your own music. The app remote controls your Spotify or Apple Music.

Use it as a mental break, or as a way to discover new music while you’re taking a break from discovering new podcasts.

Also - wouldn't it be cool if podcasters could control this?
You can follow @mortenjust.
