1-For the first time since March, I took the metro to go to the city center (I am from Toulouse, glorious Southern #France). The weather was fantastic but the whole experience of getting used to the "new normal" was weird & awkward. Couple of things. #Covid19
2- First of all, sanitizing gel is available at every metro station and we must wear a face mask in public transportation (metro, tramway or bus). If you are caught without, you'll get a EUR 135 fine (approx $147).
3-We are also asked to respect physical distancing and the city put posters everywhere to remind us.
This is La Place Salengro in the historical part of Toulouse. Usually this lovely place is overpacked with locals & tourists. It was weird to see it empty.

6- The number of customers allowed inside stores has been limited. people have to wait and queue until they’re allowed in. #France #Covid19
7- The city of @Toulouse also sent each of its resident a reusable face-mask, as well as instructions on how to wear a mask and how to fight the spread of #Covid19 #France
8- so far, from@what I saw, the majority of people are abiding by the rules (again, I’m talking about my city). Are we annoyed and drained: yes. Do we wish to come back to our normal lives: heck yes.
9- I mean y’all, I’m from Southern France, we spend most of our time out sunbathing and attending random festivals and rugby games. Seeing Toulouse empty and lifeless is weird and sad. But it is for the common good and for people’s safety.
10- France has 99 issues, but people protesting the obligation to wear a mask by holding AK47 assault riffles and rocket launchers to make a point ain’t one . #Covid19
