Listen up kids cause this is gonna be a long one.

So I’m gonna explain to some people why socialism doesn’t work. I’m gonna try to remove my political beliefs from this thread as much as I can

The whole idea around socialism is that company’s and the rich get taxed much higher until it eventually evens out which makes all the very important company’s/rich people move out of your country, making your economy just go: “you know what I hate living” then he kills himself.

If we are talking about a left wing socialist (which most of them are) you want to increase social spending. Easy right? You just raise the taxes even more! It seems like a good way out but that could cause tax revolt.

So your thinking now: “well my other option is to borrow money from another country” seems well and dandy until you realize that you don’t have the money to do that as your economy crashed and died

And the few companies that are still in your country will move out soon as people are being payed by the government so why work? And if your idea was force them to work then you are getting dangerously close to communism.

And for the real “special” of you: if you were thinking to blackmail the companies to stay there then good job! You’ve turned communist! And most countries think that is a big no no. And will most likely declare war.

So in summary: socialism makes your economy die and communism is the same thing but everyone wants to kill you
