As if this was not enough, @nit_set pointed out that other parts of her article were similar to economist Karthik Muralidharan’s work 4/n https://twitter.com/nit_set/status/1264869631228960773
So it turned out that another 9% is similar to Karthik Muralidharan’s piece. Basically the numbers and calculations were heavily ‘inspired’ 5/n

In any other place such blatant plagiarism and academic dishonesty would have serious consequences but I suppose here ‘sab chalta hai’.
