A little lion story:
On the weekend we had lions in camp. Could hear them all night. So when it ‘sounded’ like they’d moved off, I walked to the main area alone in the dark.
When I arrived, no lights yet & the two lions ran in behind me. This video is all I could hear.

After this, the lights came on and I couldn’t see them. So I walk out to the deck (don’t ask my why, there’s no barriers)
As I do, the floor beneath me starts shaking & vibrating. Little did I know they were directly under me.
This was my view & what I could hear/feel.

Once this had finished they moved to the other side and continued mating, this was now much closer to me & in plain sight.
After this video, the male walked over to the bottom of the steps & looked straight into my eyes. Fear of God went through me.
What an experience!

After all of this, we went on a morning’s game drive to see them in better light. We found them just around the side of camp & had some fantastic viewing.
