K*llys "we shouldn't target transphobes" discourse really goes to show how trans people are taken for granted by leftists. Almost every org in my city has at least some trans and non binary folks running it. Keep in mind, we make up less that 1% of the population. THREAD

Queer folks are a tiny % of the population, yet we are consistently some of the biggest foot soldiers and mass drivers of leftist work. Our existence and right to live is so constantly questioned by people outside of leftist circles that we practically default towards the left.

We are expected to contribute, especially Q-POC, who are often put on display by organizations trying to claim intersectionality. And yet, despite putting untold work into unions, marches, strikes, and mutual aid projects, we are ALWAYS at risk of losing the support of leftists

Many of our cis "comrades" are embarrassed to defend us. They find us unpalatable. They will drop support for us at a moments notice to essentially avoid appearing "cringey", and to appeal to an imagined "salt of the earth worker"

This is, ostensibly, the same worker who says slurs and hates women but otherwise aligns perfectly with their politics and would become a theory-thumping marxist just if those damned tumblrinas would stop being so loud (while still doing the ground work, of course.)

Ugh, sorry for the massive rant. It's just frustrating seeing online leftists who think that their youtube account is a commander's chair, from which they should bark orders at us. I'm tired of these cis folks holding their audiences leash like a sword above trans folk's heads.
