Using the race card again? https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😭" title="Loudly crying face" aria-label="Emoji: Loudly crying face"> When we say “saving pop music” we refer to female pop and that includes Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Rihanna, Doja, Megan etc. Stans even tried their best to block 6ix9ine and Justin Bieber. We’re not targeting black ppl smh https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤦🏻‍♂️" title="Man facepalming (light skin tone)" aria-label="Emoji: Man facepalming (light skin tone)"> https://blackboybulletin.com/2020/05/02/this-is-why-saving-pop-music-is-an-anti-black-sentiment/">https://blackboybulletin.com/2020/05/0...
I mean we love and support black artists like The Weeknd and Rihanna. I think some of the reasons why stan twitter dislike rappers is bc they’re “masculine” and it’s the complete opposite of what female pop is.
And a lot of male rappers including white rappers are objectifying, sexist, abusive and homophobic in their songs and behavior. Now why would a person listen to them if the artists oppose to their identity and beliefs?
And don’t act like straight men who only support male artists don’t do this too, especially rap fans. They trash female artists and label their songs gay, trash and overrated just bc it’s sang by a female artist. And y’all ain’t ready to talk about that.
