sometimes i wonder about clouds
what are they made of? where are they going? will they one day fall to the earth below and crush us all beneath mountains of silky sky? we may never know
who can say where one cloud ends and another begins? the weatherman, that's who
if all the mountains on earth were replaced by clouds and all the clouds were suddenly replaced by mountains, well, that would be a very exciting day
there is a story about a giant on a cloud and a big beanstalk, but i do not think it is true, i suspect that the giant would probably fall through on account of being heavy, and also that the beanstalk would probably need a trellis of some kind or it would collapse from tallness
when the forecast says partly cloudy, what do you suppose the other part will be? could be anything, really. sepia, clowns, opera, mathematics, etc.
when it is raining i always carry a traffic camera, so i can tell how fast the droplets are falling, in case it is going Too Fast
do you think that meteorologists are upset when they realize they have to learn about wind and such? i know i would be, if i had signed up to learn about meteors
do you think the word "whether" is called that because of the unpredictable nature of the sky? i think probably not. i used to misspell it "wether" a lot, but now i know not to, unless of course need to discuss a sheep which once had testicles and does not any longer
my science teacher once told me "the sky is not really blue, it only looks that way to you because of light." to which is laughed and said "you are a fool, that is how all of colors works"
people like to say that clouds look like different shapes but in my opinion they are generally blobs
what is fog even. is it safe
i once had a dream that i was lost in the desert following a solitary cloud across the sand, carrying an empty bucket aloft, in case it elected to become rain
how much of clouds do you think is water and how much is other wetnesses, like spit, or tears? if ever there was a shortage of clouds, i suggest that world leaders should hold a global cloud funeral and encourage weeping, thus replenishing the sky
on one occasion i saw a cloud that looked exactly like homer simpson
was that god, do you think? it did a rude gesture if so
the ocean is essentially a big bowl of dead clouds in my estimation
clouds are the ultimate rebels because they do not follow any laws ever. not even gravity
cloud types are confusing to me? cumulump and nimbombus etcetera. i think that clouds should be classified according to anger
how did they get up there
clouds are the ultimate ufo
rainbows are extremely scary to me, because it is my understanding that they are only visible because of moisture in the air. when the air becomes dry then, they are surely invisible. they are around all of the time, silently watching, the invisible rainbows.
if the moon had clouds around it that shifted over time, i bet astrology would be even more complicated, so i am glad that it does not
is not the moon just a big circular cloud that is especially high up
i do not understand the silver lining thing because as far as i can tell it is not true, about clouds having them. i have not come so close to a cloud as to truly disprove the saying, but i suspect that it does not hold water (and conversely that water is all that clouds hold)
it is neat in my opinion that the water cycle has a step where the water just mostly hangs out in the sky for as long as it wants. it is like heaven for water. in this scenario evaporating is when you, as water, die
what are clouds
is it possible that "clouds" is just an optical illusion caused by the possibility of rain
do clouds have natural predators? where do they sit in the food chain
it is amazing to be that occasionally one sees a cloud that is taller than the tallest mountain and significantly harder to climb, and then we say that this is "bad" weather and carry around little parasols
it is so easy to not look up, but
it is happening in the sky
sometimes i wonder about clouds
