I just finished Atomic Habits by @JamesClear.

Packed with interesting ideas.

Here are some of my favourites: (thread)
COMPOUNDING OUTCOMES

Habits reward consistency over time.

Small improvements grow into great results if you stick with it.
BREAKTHROUGH MOMENTS

Habits are frustrating at first. Three workouts won’t make you ripped.

But stick with it, because one day you’ll look in the mirror and see a different person.

It will feel like it happened overnight. It didn’t.
SYSTEMS OVER GOALS

All Olympians strive for gold. Goals do not guarantee success.

What happens if you reach your goal? Temporary happiness? What next?

Focus on systems instead. Be satisfied with the act of progress. This rewards you from day one.
IDENTITY DRIVES CHANGE

The greatest changes happen when you embrace a new identity.

Become the type of person who has the results and habits you desire.

Prove this to yourself with small wins. Your confidence will increase over time.

Fake it till you make it.
SELF CONTROL IS BULLSHIT

Successful people don’t exhibit significantly more discipline than others.

Instead, they prepare their environment for success.

Eating better is easier when all the food in your house is healthy.
PERFECT IS THE ENEMY OF GOOD

Searching for the optimal plan feels like progress. But you’re being overtaken by everyone who is out there doing it.

Actions are what count. Compound interest rewards time in the market.
DON’T MISS TWICE

Missing a workout is inevitable.

Eating a bad meal is unavoidable from time to time.

How you respond is key. Each miss costs you far more than you realise.

Never miss twice.
