1. It’s sex-work positive!! Sex workers in this story aren’t degraded down to perverts. they’re shown to be actual, fleshed-out ppl working in this industry for various personal reasons:
Ex. Lancer shoots porn to freely explore his sexuality even tho he identifies as straight.

Ex. There was that one real-estate agent who filmed porn occasionally just ‘cause he felt like it.
Ex. Then you have ppl like Yeowoon who really need the money. (Even Lancer made his own male escorts company with some friends for financial reasons.)

2. The protagonist doesn’t have an annoying identity crisis the more he realizes he’s not straight. I already made a thread about this but I just wanna reiterate how Yeowoon is such a refreshing character bc he doesn’t demonstrate pressure to decide on a label for his sexuality.
Your sexuality isn’t some religion to “convert” to. Ppl really act like it’s a choice when it’s not. It’s all about learning what type of ppl you’re attracted to. Glenn was just another person Yeowoon came to love. But I‘m extremely happy that he’s implied to be bi !!
his previous relationships w/ women weren’t invalidated as him being confused + his attraction to Glenn is written as actual love not pure lust like most BLs situate their characters.
3. JAXX is a genius in using colors to add to the story’s atmosphere:
•dull, often grey scaled palettes visualized how Yeowoon sees his neighborhood/NY itself as an oppressive “grey city”
•vibrant backgrounds to show Glenn’s welcoming ambience when Yeowoon was at the mansion

My personal favorite:
• brown/autumnish color palettes with streaks of orange and yellow to illustrate a sense of comfort and relief in Glenn + Yeowoon’s reunion at the bar

4. I initially wasn’t a big fan of the art style, but now I’m pretty much in love w/ every panel of JAXX’s. A majority of the characters are vv attractive btw !
5. Yeowoon’s confession is one of the best monologues ever written. The whole point to Yeowoon and Glenn’s relationship (aside from their employer-employee dynamic) is their romantic interest in each other as they bonded over a common interest: movies.
Yeowoon musters up the courage to tell Glenn he’s tired of being a side character/an extra (like he always was when he auditioned as an action actor). He wants to be in the spotlight now, not for action movies: he wants to be the main character in Glenn’s eyes.
I just honestly think that’s very beautiful. His confession wasn’t some dramatic romance scene held under like,,, the friggin Eiffel Tower
it was just a simple revelation as the two of them were about to reach a subway station

6. The storyline also doesn’t go in fUCKING CIRCLES- I SWEAR SO MANY WEBCOMICS COULD IMPROVE FROM AVOIDING THIS. There’s times where Yeowoon told white lies to Glenn but it didn’t hold the story back.
What I’m trying to say is that the drama doesn’t feel repetitive.
