y'know it wasn't until i started watching tiktoks that it really sank in that other people have more money than me
like i always knew that other kids had more money than me (which I thought was just because my parents are divorced) but I'm really just now processing the fact that y'all either have a lot of money or really lax parents
like my friends are out here having outfits that represent various aesthetics meanwhile I'm like. $10 graphic tee i got on wish, 4 year old pair of sweatpants, a jacket to tie around my waist to hide the fact that all of my clothes are too small, and shoes from costco clearance
like y'all just ask your parents for things?????? and they do it?????? they just fuckin buy you shit whenever you get an A- in geography??????
not trying to discredit my parents because they're great and they bought me tickets to musicals and stuff but some of y'all have REALLY lenient parents... some of y'all have never been grounded for a week for coming across as sarcastic and it shows
but I'm seeing these tiktok gays with fuckin mood lighting in their bedrooms and expensive furniture and I'm like. my dad's house hasn't had air conditioning in five years
and when I talk about my parents people are always like "that's abusive" and I'm like no??? they just have standards that i have to meet and don't reward mediocrity??? they're literally just being good parents who want me to do well in life??? are y'all okay
actually why am I asking if y'all are okay y'all have money
like as someone who experienced actual abuse it's always so funny when people say im being abused when I say that they got mad that my English mark is only 89%. like ur talking to the person whose mom's ex threw forks at her while screaming death threats and calling me the f slur
like just sayin some of y'all need more bad shit to happen in your life. it builds character. especially the rich kids in my class like y'all need some good ole fashioned trauma
will never forget in grade 7 when i was talking to this one person and they were like "oh yeah my ex-stepdad tried to kill my mom and i once" and i was like SOLIDARITY and that's how we became friends
this thread escalated quickly so I'm gonna stop it here before it goes completely off the rails, stan sunnee
