1. Charge our phones at Jagwal's.
2. Gist with Jagwal, Kawu (sells cosmetics), and Mallam Rabiu. These guys were not educated but we loved our evenings with them.
Aha! There's a 3rd reason
3. Girls!
. Girls going back to their hostel from MPH/science complex area, the restaurants, the Chapel of Grace,

3. Girls!

Grocery shopping, or their boyfriend's place in C-Block, we've got them all in our view.
While the other guys gist with us about campus girls, yansh and all, Mallam Rabiu was more interested in the Made in Otukpo footwear we all put on (Yes! We were mostly Benue boys)

He started asking questions, how we get them and all. Information we voluntarily offered, while looking at the bevy girls trooping in and out of the commercial area, wetin concern us
?
The holidays came and he asked one of us to buy about 5 pairs for him, cool, no wahala.

Calling him Mallam Rabiu was hard for me because I have a lisp, so I called him Man Rabs. The guys eventually joined in in calling him Man Rabs.
So Man Rabs sold the footwear Hamid brought him in no time, he was excited and was asking how possible it was to get more.

The next holiday he gave money for about 15 pairs, my guys delivered. He sold them and everyone was happy. Then he gave money for 25 pairs, cool biz yeah? Some of my guys started having issues with each other, base on who should supply. E no concern Man Rabs sha, just deliver
We resumed 200 level 2nd semester and Man Rabs happily told us he has gotten a shop. We went to see it, it wasn't much to write home about but we were happy for him. At least he has moved from under the tree. We still needed our view shaa, so we now spent more time with Kawu and
Jagwal, you know, yansh and stuffs. Man Rabs hardly come down to join in our baseless gist, we go to his shop afterwards, greet him and either go sleep or go read. But when you talk business, Man Rabs is more than happy to talk to you.
300 level, Man Rabs scaled up!

He named his shop MANRA BOUTIQUE, he now sells clothes, belts, and shoes of all sorts. He gives contracts to my guys to supply the made in Otukpo shoes, this time everyone who was interested had a quota to supply, so no more issues. His Brother Sani came from Kano to join him.
Sani was nice and people loved him. Business was going well. 400 level and Manra got a second shop! Wonderful! We were happy for him. We somehow had to sacrifice our precious view of yansh for the comfort Manra's shop offered.
Plus the shop was close to A1 suya, and there's something about Suya and Fine girls that I cannot explain. So we didn't miss out on the view, I'll say our view got filtered to suya loving girls only and you know how those bumbum dey be

Manra and his brother Sani came through for me and my guys in times of need. When eye red! It was Manra to the rescue.
When I came for statement of result and call up letter, I strolled in and Manra told me he enrolled his brother Sani in the University.

He was planning to open a shop off campus around 202 housing estate. Manra was balling, and this while he didn't buy a car. He was expanding his business.
Haven't heard from Manra in a while now but I won't be surprised if he now has a shop in Kano and Abuja.

Sani would probably have graduated by now and running the business with his brother, or may have moved on to something greater.
If tomorrow, Manra's or Sani's sons start posting pictures of themselves living lavish some will come and call their fathers thieves

Maybe Otukpo boys should start demanding their share of footwear money from Manra since he benefited from the shoe making industry in otukpo.
