Every now and again I enjoy one of those fun things, even more so when there isn't an odd chain letter format for it all. I'm going to start out with the first three to keep pace with @Bloatytoe and @SheAteTheBone who I saw doing this.
I'll try to go of the moment here for the stuff, a runner up if I feel like it, cause hey it's a loose format for stuff I enjoy why not? Day 1 with the short title theme for Breath of Fire 2, a terrible translated game I love, which just starts and builds
Runner up is the excellent title screen for Earthbound which just takes you right into the world and the game. Love this game so much.
Day 2 - going with the incredible first level world for Ikaruga which is perfectly synced with the action and has a wonderful bit where the action pauses after the first volley and the music soars and camera pans out and you just launch. Great stuff!
Runner up: The beginner level from Marble Madness on the NES is just so clutch. It's so odd it's an arcade adaptation and I don't love the original as much. It fits the vacant geometric world so well.
Day 3: I've always really enjoyed the Sunsoft Batman game on NES and it's odd take on the whole Batman thing ( punching robots that don't come up to your knees ). It's weird that in the whole game which feels very different the music still feels Batman
Runner Up - I kinda love the whole Shadowgate NES soundtrack? I made the main theme my ring tone for a while, just really great all around. I never played these on the Mac only NES, just really neat games. Here's the whole thing
