Disclaimer: Whatever relief work a set of friends and I have been doing has been on individual capacities. We have used our personal funds towards buying relief material (because that is the least we can do atm) but there comes a time when you realise "issssh, no monies" 1/n

..and that your personal funds can not cover it. My set of friends and I have been fortunate/ privileged and had enough savings to do the bare minimum we could. In order to keep the relief work going we decided to call for contributions from friends and kind strangers alike 2/n

I being incapacitated can only appeal on SM platforms for more contribution so we could get to maximum distressed people as possible. We are aware that there are a lot of seasoned organisations doing relief work on the ground and we are just adding to that number. 3/n

For the past couple of days, people have been exceptionally kind and so many of y'all have reached out and contributed, for which the people who receive the help and I will eternally be grateful. We know that these are difficult times and we are all trying to deal with it 4/n

...in our own ways and that is how it should be. Let no one guilt you for "not doing enough" or any such thing because no one can decide what is "enough". Keep the distressed people in your prayers and that too is one of the kindest acts one could do. 5/n
