1. System Fanuel Tazvida was a legend. In 1990 when Mabhauwa was released, there was chaos kwedu Chiredzi. Walking to Chitsanga to watch Bruce Lee u would pass by the iconic Chigarapasi Bar and Mabhauwa would be blaring non-stop. That was Tazvida, Zacharia, Macheso, Karushanga
2. In 1993 Tazvida now with Chazezesa Challengers released Rudo Tsika Nemagariro. There was a song yainzi Bundu rerudo randivava mudiwa. It was taboo then to sing about mabhebhi but Tazvida shattered that barrier."Mabhebhi ekuno haazive kundikwenya, ndomaudza andikwenye ondimara"
3. I remember paGudoshava Bar kwedu kuMatandamaviri one Mdara Njuzu who claimed to have spent 2 years under water with mermaids loved the one "Akaroorwa nemhondi kwemakore makumi matatu sei asina kupondwa?" He could write cursive with his legs on the dance floor
4. This album was followed by another smasher - Mutunhu une mago. At the time I was in Triangle. I remember the day he had a show at Mufakose Bar. That Friday all cane cutters left work early to clean their soot. They loved Tazvida - the people's spokesperson.
5. Coincidentally there was a strike the following Monday with workers taking the then MD of Triangle Karidza hostage. In 1996 I reconnected with Tazvida kwaMpandawana - nyika yemafaro! I saw him at Madondo Hotel xmas 1998. The favorite then was "Ndaida kuti uoone apo!"
