The Centre for Sustainable Employment of the Azim premji foundation conducted a survey across the country about the conditions of living ( April - May). The results are alarming.
66% of the surveyed had lost employment
77% have already started consuming less food.(1/n)

For all the Jan-dhan promise by the government a whopping 77% in the urban areas and 51% in the rural areas have said that they don't have an account. And only 49% have received any sort of cash support. 47% had not enough money to buy even a week's worth of essentials. (2/n)
