I do know about this news, & it has made me incredibly upset in a lot of ways. I want to go back to Japan and see my family, & I've seen so many westerners talking about a "vacation". It is so, so disrespectful to me

I haven't seen members of my extended family in 17 years. If they die, from COVID-19, I will have missed my only chance to afford to see them.

If you're an American and you don't go to Japan this year, good for them because you'd probably infect everyone.

i broke this thread a bit, calmed down. just feeling pretty bad overall right now. I'm sorry if I made anyone upset
