{ thread on dayooth }

Dayooth comes from the verb داث
داث الشخص
means the person has lost their protective jealousy
A dayooth is someone that has no jealousy over their family and is content with them committing sins and filth
Ghayrah (الغَيْرَةِ) carries the meaning of protective jealousy, honour, and earnest concern. It is a positive trait, especially in a man in regards his female family members. The dayyuth (الديُّوث) is its opposite
Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by a man of the Ansar who was admonishing his brother regarding shyness. Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Leave him alone, for modesty is a part of Iman."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Three persons will not be looked upon by Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection: one who disobeys his parents, a woman who imitates men, and a man who allows his women to fornicate.
Three persons will not enter Paradise: one who disobeys his parents, a drunkard, and one who reminds others of his charity.”

Dayooth is being translated in this Hadith as “a man who allows his woman to fornicate”

Allah ﷻ mentions in ayah [4:34]
الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللَّـهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ...

Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other...
Men are the protectors and maintainers of women,) meaning, the man is responsible for the woman, and he is her maintainer, caretaker and leader who disciplines her if she deviates. ( ibn kathir )
If the prophet ﷺ forbade such a person from entering jannah, then who are you to defend their actions? Or to be proud of being one?
