I spent every day during the furlough period building "Your Future in Sportswriting," an online course I'm launching designed to give sportswriters the tips, tools and techniques they'll need to land jobs or internships.

The 18-chapter course covers a wide range of topics from building résumés to writing cover letters to how to succeed in a job interview and includes more than 10 hours of audio/visual content.

It covers critical information that's often overlooked in journalism schools.

I built this course with the help of more than 25 incredible sportswriters, who all pitched in and lent their time to the project.

They share their guidance, advice and storytelling strategies all with the hope of helping the next generation of sportswriters.

I realize the middle of a pandemic is probably *not* the best time to launch a product, but I also know there are thousands of graduating seniors/college students who had job opportunities disappear or internships canceled that need some help right now.

I realize not everyone can afford a $99 course or wants to spend at a time like this.
