Now amongst fictional characters any ship is fine no matter who the 2 counterparts are, but its important to look at the more common casual undertones

of the two's relationship, a lot of people look at what's simply on the surface & go ballistic over it, this will often lead to people doing the same thing with other characters which ends up being every possible combination of however many characters there are, now as mentioned

earlier the people that do this are called fujoshi(so that being said I guess this is more targeted to gay pairings rather than any pairing, which is kind of what I said earlier) fujoshi back in the day were your average female that was simply crazy about yaoi and paired whatever

& how many ever possible combinations they could make, however no matter the relationship between the 2, fujoshi/fudanashi only applies to people who ship multiple combinations with multiple characters, these days it would seem that most fujoshi are align their sexuality with

the same gender as well, which is fine, although, they seem to make the argument that because they do that "they know gay when they see it" this is not the case. I myself identify as a cis straight male, and I recently found my first yaoi pair which I couldn't help but pair, they

are from the sports anime daiya no Ace, eijun sawamura and wolf boy okumura koushū, the 1st time I saw it I said "bro you don't swing that way you can't do that" then I saw it a second time and thought "...hmm, maybe I could" then the 3rd times the charm "let's go eijun okumura

OTP" which is what brings me to why I'm actually making this thread, AA side is just getting started and people are already shipping the main 2 vocalists, Nanahoshi Ren and Asahi Nayuta, I've been keeping my eye on them myself actually, but guys, we dont have enough potential for

it yet, simply being within another's presence or talking about anything isn't enough to pair people together, same with simple underlying interactions, if it doesn't have the potential then its really just a desperate attempt at that point, because a mindset like this will have

people take it very seriously and will develop the mindset that the pairing(s) is/are canon(should've said this awhile ago, I forget while typing), honestly I'm rooting for nayuta and ren myself, even if I am a straight male, but the potential just hasn't gotten to that point yet

Which brings me to my next point I see this kind of thing as invisible gatekeeping, the fanbase isn't saying that you can't come in, but people might take a look at the rabid fans and run away, I want people to like the things I like but the rest of the fanbase is unintentionally

Pushing others away, plant the seed and wait for it to sprout, let it grow on it's own, if it does good for you, and if it doesn't that's too bad I guess.

So all this being said even I myself only have one pairing for one character in the things I partake in, but I don't ship

All characters, if they show no interest in other characters then it's not needed (although I'm lowkey guilty with Kasumi Toyama from bangdream, I ship her with her sister, saaya, and yukina, cause they're all cute with her, but only ship those 3 with kasumi, so take that how you

will because I myself don't know how to explain that probably, I guess half fujoshi if anything, but I don't actually talk about ships unless others do first, cause like I said I want people to ease themselves into the fanbase, but it's just her that's it) I felt like there was

Yuri: Tomoe Udagawa and Himari Uehara is just to good, from Bangdream!

Yaoi: Eijun Sawamura & Okumura Koushū from Daiya no Ace

P.S. I did say that fujoshi/fudanashi are the ones that do multiple pairing of multiple characters, but I remembered something that happened one time, even if its just one, and you do it for clout/publicity, that also makes you one, that's disrespectful to gays/lesbians

P.S.S. (like I said forget a lot while typing) if someone says they're a "mutlishipper" or has it in their bio, they're admitting that they are a fujoshi, without admitting it
