it’s crazy how much the way u grew up can mold you as a person. i didnt have a very structured normal parenting and its haunted me in my adult years. i’ve had to correct myself as a person, having to teach myself how to have proper communication without being defensive and rude-
when i don’t like what i’m hearing etc because that’s how my mom has acted my entire life. like a child. i choose to see it positively though. always room for me to grow and always reflecting so i can be absolutely the opposite. it pushes me to work as hard as i do.
i spent all of high school being grounded bc my dad was over protective. it caused me to not know how properly socialize. so many things fucked me up. but i’m inspired to be the best version of myself now and i’m constantly checking myself.
this thread is messy and pointless i guess i’m just trying to say even if you have bad habits or behaviors from the way u were brought up, they CAN be worked on and don’t let those things ever define you ❤️
