I feel like a huge portion of my generation (myself included) just feels stuck having to constantly take jobs they don’t want/are over qualified for and it’s an endless cycle of settling and feeling discouraged in our career goals
most of the time, the jobs we do want (like even entry level roles) insist we have 5+ years of experience in said industry but i mean... how are we supposed to get experience in an industry that truly has no real “entry level” positions????)
@ world, how are people who genuinely want to learn, want to grow, want to be successful supposed to make it in a world that more or less is set up for them to settle/fail??
the few people I do know that are successful either had pretty specialized degrees or happened to get lucky with a company that they just then have been able to move up in
honestly, 90% of the people I know in their mid-late 20s are in fields and positions that have absolutely nothing to do with what they went to school for nor are even something they’re passionate about doing!
