One of the toughest things about being an empath is learning how and when to distance yourself from people when you’re working through a tough time but want to help others who are going through a tough time.
If you have a friend you vent to who is an empath, check in with them before emotionally dumping on them right now. They probably want to help, but they may need to be conserving their energy reserves right now đź’ś
Also, consider how frequently you emotionally vent to those around you and if you are doing the work to get through what you’re fighting through. Are you putting in the work? Are you stuck? Are you taking charge of your mental well being? It’s a good time to self reflect on this.
