Dear @Kevin_Lamoureux

I heard your response in the House of Commons today, concerning people with disabilities. PWD are all too familiar with direct and indirect support. Indirect support does little to help PWD who are trying to live independently as best they can. You comment
on how your government has bumped up disposable income for seniors, so why has the same not been done for PWD? Why are you treating PWD like children that you'd prefer to send off to charities to beg for items like food, rather than give them the money directly and allow them
to make the right decisions for their situation?

PWD have proven they're very responsible with the money given them. After all, they've learned--albeit barely and with much suffering--how to pay rent and buy food with $1,169/mo in ON, so what is the message you're trying to send
them with this 'indirect help' garbage you are preaching?

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES DO NOT--I REPEAT--DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO BE RELIANT UPON CHARITIES IN ORDER TO SURVIVE. Please continue to pay those fat United Way salaries if you want, but please don't try and force people
whose morale has already taken more mortal wounds than is reasonable, to BEG for food and other garbage that a charity may or may not give them, depending on what mood the administrator is having that day.
If you don't believe that people with disabilities are treated deplorably by the charities your government continues to fork over millions of dollars to, then do this:

Go to a food bank under the pretence of being a person with disabilities. Dress the part. Let's see how you are
treated. Every person living in Canada deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and deserves to have enough money to pay for their rent and to buy NUTRITIOUS food at a grocery store, and not live on the boxed and canned junk the food bank usually gives them.
I have been a @liberal_party supporter all my life, but I am very rapidly losing patience with this game you are playing with people with disabilities. The message you are sending people like my friend, who is currently suicidal, because her costs of living have exploded since
the pandemic took hold, is that PWD aren't real people, with real human needs. They are only deserving of the scraps that the rest of society throws away.

If I take my vote away from the @liberal_party I will be taking every family member, every friend and every colleague with
me, and I will get them to do the same with their friends, family and colleagues. You might not be worried by such a warning right now, but you will be, if you do not start treating people with disabilities with dignity and respect the way you treat seniors. No one with a
disability who is living in poverty prayed that they would get a disability. Many--I dare to say most--had vibrant lives before an accident or illness sidelined their dreams, and now you're trying to crush their souls even more, with these pathetic bandaid solutions.
If you don't think PWD should be treated like every other Canadian, by providing DIRECT financial support, then they will see you at the polls.
