talk about lwj naming a-yuan sizhui because of what that means but no one mentions the fact that lwj also changed the way "yuan" was written to mean "Hope" rather than "garden/park". it’s in the audio drama which mxtx personally supervised.

another instance is when we mention "lwj is always where the chaos is". I feel like there are people who assume the chaos represents chances of finding wwx when that is not actually true.

the title and reputation came before sunshot campaign because he and lan xichen both-

- used to go to and rescue and protect the common people, smaller sects, non cultivators from the wens. even the line which mentions he’s where the chaos is says he’d been doing that since he was young. because that’s the kind of person he is.

also whoever sent this cc has very very clearly never read the lotus seed pod extra and I think you can not pass judgements about any character without at least reading/watching. so I’ll sum it up.

if hanguang jun openly respected the jiang sect leader, it’d be massive throughout mdzs lwj has been the model of decorum. there was never open disrespect. he chose to be quiet but he IS quiet, sizhui could see his face & know he didn’t want to talk so clearly it happened often

also while it was never clear in the novel what part jiang cheng played in wwx’s demise, there was a fair bit of heresy and cql had him on the cliff. and jc, also hurt, clearly tended to taunt him over it too, please forgive lan wangji for being human and not going in for hugs.

and yeah, lwj didn’t give up his position in the cultivation world to go with the wen remnants but he used his position to speak up for them.

and again, sect leaders and their immediate family had the entire sect to think of which is why jc, lwj, lxc etc are bound by that.

finally, lwj doesn’t rely on his sect and reputation. yes it protects him, but that reputation was earned by protecting people and helping bring about the sunshot campaign and then he lost it because of wwx. it didn’t protect him from his punishment.

but he rose from his disgrace after that punishment and gained that reputation again. everyone assumed he’d done something wrong and deserved to stay in seclusion and repent at one point. so yeah
