I’m about to hit you guys with some underrated Vietnamese dishes/desserts that you guys should try at least once in your life. 🤤 https://twitter.com/theivyspring/status/1264670457267023873
First up, we have Hu Tieu. If you like Pho, then perhaps you’ll like this lighter noodles soup. Instead of beef as the choice of meat in Pho, this dish has mostly pork & seafood.
If you like Japanese udon, us Vietnamese also has our own version of udon as well. You can choose between the regular ‘Banh Canh’ (which consists of mostly pork & yes that’s part of pig feet you’re seeing in the pic) or the seafood ‘Banh Canh’ (lobster & shrimps). 😋
Third on my list would be ‘Com Tam’ aka Vietnamese broken rice. It’s a rice dish & you can choose whichever & as many add-on’s you wish to have along with the rice. In this pic, it’s only showing 3 out of probably 10 different add-on’s that you can have with your Com Tam. 😍
Next, we have Bot Chien (Fried Rice Flour Cake). It’s often paired with some shredded papaya on top & soy sauce to drown in with the cake. This dish is considered more as street food & definitely a popular one, too.
