1/4: In September 2020, a very small handful of @TheOrville flags will launch into space aboard an Antares rocket, stored inside of a Grumman Cygnus spacecraft at the top of that rocket. Then, a few days after launch, the spacecraft will dock with the @Space_Station where the
2/4: astronaut crew will unload the payload containing the flags, and will then use the Canadarm2 robotic arm to attach the payload outside of the ISS where it will orbit Earth at 25 times the speed of sound over the course of 6 months, and in so doing travelling approximately
3/4: 75 million miles. After this, the payload will be brought back into the space_station, loaded onto a #SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, and returned to Earth. A small thank you to @TomCostantino & the team over at @TheOrville for the endless entertainment, we all need right now.
4/4: And finally, this is the view of our previous payload that is stored outside of the ISS! The #TheOrville flags will be stored in the same place, but can you spot where? Hint: it’s blue!
