You may have noticed oblique references to a particularly abusive thread posted about two weeks ago.

For the sake of documentation, while looking at screenshots of that thread...

...here is a dissection; this could become a blog entry along with the rest of these tweeted notes.
All of these notes strive toward answers for one question: "too create a better social web, how can we spot abusive people and/or disincentivise that kind of behaviour _before_ abusive users become popular -- eventually poisoning the platforms wherever they establish themselves?"
The attacker wrote their thread while explicitly @-mentioning this account; you can go read it side-by-side with this thread if you want.

Her thread begins with:

1. The venerable "shit sandwich" -- start an attack with a compliment.
2. Frame the target ( @ctrl_alt_scifi) as an "obviously intelligent", potentially dangerous villain while taking the position as a calm, knowledgeable, "rational" person simply striving to "help your community" by "getting at the facts".
